Is that intake pipe dented on the top?

A few years ago, we installed a secondhand cold-air intake that had seen who knows how many miles in its past life. Recently, we noticed that the ITG filter that came with the kit had degraded badly and was in need of replacement.
Although the ITG filter had served us—and the previous owner—well, we decided to try K&N’s new X Stream line of universal filters. The open-top design lets more airflow in, and is claimed to increase service life as well.
As we’ve come to expect from K&N products, this filter is well built and installation was a breeze. We haven’t noticed any seat-of-the-pants difference between the two filters, but we didn’t really expect any. As with all K&N filters, the X Stream series never needs replacement, just occasional cleaning.
Our X Stream filter retails for about $66.00, although you may be able to find it for less from one of K&N’s retailers.
Is that intake pipe dented on the top?
Nah, it isn't dented. The lighting hit the carbon fiber in a weird way, making it look dented.
