Hella of a Lot of Light

Update by Per Schroeder to the Subaru Impreza Wagon project car

The Hella lights fit nicely on a custom-made light bar.

Relays are used to get the most juice possible to our new lights.

The stock lights on our 2000 Subaru aren’t bad, but we’ve been poking around the back roads of Florida and need a bit more candlepower to show us the way home. We added a pair of Hella 500FF lamps and a pair of MicroFF fogs to the nose of our project car.

To mount them, we welded a light bar to the factory bumper beam. We used 1x3/16-inch steel bars for the mounting apparatus. The lights were then powered using the included relays and switches.

Now I know who's been flashing me on the back roads at night with my STOCK lighting. Looks good, though.
