After the final thrash to put the last minute touches on the car (full updates to come) we threw the Civic on our trailer and headed North to VIR for NASA’s SuperComp school to get our rookie license. The car passed tech with no problem (a good way to start the weekend) and the SuperComp school was fantastic; look for an article in a near-future issue of GRM.
The short of it is I passed, so look for the GRM 2002 Civic Si at race events this spring and summer, we’re looking forward to lots more wheel-to-wheel racing. Unfortunately heavy snow and the lack of all-season tires for the Civic meant we had to cut our weekend short, but we did get some practice time in the heavy snow (with a pretty wet track). Lots of sideways, but the car’s sheetmetal is the same as when we left.
