What did you decide upon for spring rates?
Our final to-do item was motivated by self-respect rather than speed: Using an eraser wheel (available at most auto parts stores) and Prep-Sol, we scraped away the tagged and tacky-looking clear bra that a prior owner had stuck onto our Focus. Underneath that damaged film we found shiny, new-looking paint. To complete the makeover, we washed and waxed the car.
We want to keep our freshly polished paint from accumulating any more damage, so we installed a set of Rally Armor mud flaps. The manufacturer offers mud flaps for lots of popular cars, and universal sets for everything else. Installation was accomplished with screws and captive nuts.
