Our entire trip to pick up the M3 covered about 850 miles–Knoxville to BimmerWorld to a family visit and then down to Ormond Beach, Florida. The EPA rates our car at 15 mpg city and 22 mpg highway.

During our trip—figure two-thirds highway and one-third back roads—we saw 24.6 mpg. Color us happy.

And we got to enjoy lunch at Chickin Lickin, one of our favorite I-95 eateries. You can find them in Hardeeville, South Carolina, just north of the Georgia/South Carolina line. It’s delish and you can buy some fireworks at the gas station next-door.

You were in my backyard in Knoxville. Did you attend Cars N Coffee at the mall?

Sadly, no, it was a quick visit: I landed late on Thursday, met the seller (my friend) early the next morning, and then made tracks for BimmerWorld. James at BimmerWorld had to leave the shop early on Friday, so it was a hustle.
