I did this event last year, and it's one of those where you also want to cruise the parking lot.

After a fun week on the road with our Orange Blossom Tour, we headed to the Werks Reunion, a highlight of The Amelia weekend.
This one-day event, put on by the Porsche Club of America and held at the Amelia River Golf Club the Friday before The Amelia, proved to be a complete immersion into everything Porsche. With some 700 cars in the car corral and another 165 judged ones, just about the whole model range sat in attendance.
As we had to register before we had even seen our 997, we entered the corral and not the judged competition. Once seeing the car’s terrific condition, however, maybe we should have entered the competition. But it was too late for that.
So we enjoyed the day, talking to owners, perusing the cars, and checking out the more than two dozen vendors. What more could we learn about our new purchase?
Even though we left a bit sunburned and tired, we were ready for the rest of The Amelia weekend.
