Pagid Pads for the Camaro

Every project needs a supervisor.

After a couple months off, our Ultimate Track Camaro SS hit the historic concrete runways of Sebring International Raceway for a final time this year. Aside from the Continental Force Contact tires, the only performance-based modification we’ve done is to add set of Pagid RS 29 brake pads. While the stock pads performed amazingly well for the type of abuse we were giving them, we felt that replacing a “consumable” part like brake pads for tack use didn’t stray from our intent to keep this an “as-factory-delivered” evaluation project.

As it turns out, the Pagid pads made a big difference in track manners. The more aggressive initial bite allowed us to enter corners with more precise speeds and lines, and we got fade-free performance lap after lap at Sebring. They don’t seem to be digging into the rotors much after one weekend, either, so that’s a good sign as well.

Want to see how the track day went? Ride onboard with us for a couple laps.

Never used those. Have you ever reviewed Porterfield’s ? Speaking of reviews has GRM ever done a pad review / test?

You have the Camaro that you could use as the heavy car and I am sure you can scare up a Miata from some place to use as the light car. Some basic 60-0 and 100-0 tests repeated to see how the fade is. Then take them to the track and comment on there "on track" feel / performance / manors.

Hey yeah, I'd love to read a brake pad test.

You'll need to log in to post.
