Teardown, part 1

Just over a week into the Opel project, and a lot of the teardown is complete. The whole of the interior is out, along with pretty much everything in the engine bay. Getting the trans out took a bit of a struggle, as I hadn’t realized it was still full of ATF … or that it would all pour out of the tailshaft all over the ground when pulled away from the driveshaft.

Going forward, there’s definitely a lot of metal work to be done to the body. But fortunately it mostly appears to be pretty straightforward. Plenty of rust to get rid of, but the body is pretty solid despite the rust.

Now what to throw in that engine bay?
