Progress had been slow going on the Opel, as the weather conditions here in the Northeast wavered somewhere between simply rainy and monsoon season for the past month. Today was sunny and warm, so much work ensued.

I was able to get some important progress done, in being able to get both the complete front and rear suspensions out from under the car. The car has been great to work on; despite its 38 years, the hardware has typically needed little persuasion to come free.

So now, the car sits as a shell. Two 6x6 posts keep the shell off the ground, with the rear needing additional 2 inch spacers to keep things relatively level. Just to see how it would look, I stuffed 205/50R15 Falkens into the wheel wells. For having such a relatively high ground clearance, the tires tuck into the wells a little bit.
