Well this model cemented my love for model cars as it won 2nd Place in the Junior (15 and Under) Category and got printed in the February 1998 Scale Auto Enthusiast. I won a ton of models (including the Monte Carlo oddly enough) and it really kicked my desire to build better. Sometimes I still can’t believe that I’ve held onto this thing through a bunch of moves, military service, and cross-country treks. I built it in Florida! It’s still on my display shelf and still looks good as new.
