My new beater. On paper, a French-built FWD 1.9 turbo-diesel doesn’t sound like much, but this thing is a blast to drive in the twisties - handles nicely and pulls like a train. As a bonus, it gets 45mpg!
Several thousand kilometres later, and the faithful Pug continues to be a brilliantly reliable daily …

Au contraire! Peugeot make a stout Diesel engine, and where I live, parts are cheap and readily available.
I love Pugs. My favorite is the 504 diesel. Elegant and smooth, with the biggest sunroof ever!
