Hmmm....sound like an interesting cross-breed project! It is really tough to beat free, and I've always liked the funky period styling and ultra flyweight of the X-1/9. I hope the project goes well...let us know how the work progresses!
Its a 1980 I picked up for free from the local Fiat message board. It still bears the scares of a couple of accidents from the past, so it won’t be a show car. However, with a Chrysler 2.2 Turbo engine and transmission it should go fast enough to not have to be pretty.

Did you see the 2.2-T X1/9 in the classifieds? I'm gonna see if the owner will post a Readers Ride and show some details... What was the old website w/ this swap? wasn't it turbox19.com? Its been dead for years, but i wonder what ever happened to that car...
