This is a 1960 model year Volkswagen Beetle ragtop. The car was built October 14, 1959 and left the factory October 17, 1959. She was originally sold at Universal Motors in Las Angeles, CA. At some point in the 1970’s she was used as a drag car and then left to sit (somewhere in there she was restored as a showcar). In 1990 she was bought as a bare body and pan. She traded hands several time in the next 10 years until a person in Maryland bought her and stored her for another 10 years. I will restore the car and make a cool resto-custom out of it. I don’t know what I am going to do for the motor but currently considering everything from a stock 36hp to a 356 motor to a 2332 stroker turbo motor. The interior will get redone in the factory beige and the car will be painted its original ceramic green. The car will stay lowered but I might drop the front another inch. The car will receive a full pan off restoration and maybe air ride.
