It’s a new season, but no changes to the car. Well, except for a fresh set of Azenis waiting to be mounted. I’ll be putting them on the stock daisy wheel alloys and running them as my everyday summer road tires, as well as for autocross. The outer edge of the last set wore out long before the inner edge, so I figure I may actually get better wear out of them by using them on the street, too!
The biggest change for this year, actually, will be that I plan to run in a new street tire class CMC has created, rather than straight up E Stock. I won ES last year as much by showing up consistently as any driving skill I may have. I doubt I’ll win street tire class, but I have a good car for it, and it will be fun to see how I compare to a different group of people. Best of all, I don’t need to make any changes to the car to compete.
