A month or so ago while on the highway my car started to overheat. I didn’t catch in time unfortunately and by the time i was safely off the highway on on the side of the road on one of the exits i figured it was time for a rebuild. Sure enough, when i popped open the overflow lid i saw black bubbles coming to the top. My theory as to way the overheating. two possibilities, 1.) wrong headgaskets. on the head gaskets i was using, some of the coolant passages didn’t line up. 2.) No bleed “valve” on the Slant thermostat i used.
Now i am rebuilding a upgrading/changing a few things:
Cometic .040” ej22e headgaskets (opposed to the .051”) GrimmSpeed 160 degree thermostat (fails open too) Prosport water temp gauge Prosport water temp adapter Perrin light weight pulley Techline Black Ceramic Exhaust Coating
