Purchased this 1991 Nissan 300zx in 2016. It had not been on the road for about 5 years. The clutch was out, and the exhaust was rotten. My Original plan was to get it roadworthy and sell it for a profit, and buy an S30 Datsun z car. Once I got into it deeper, I found the prior owners neglect had proven to more serious than I first thought. I then embarked upon a complete refresh on the engine, clutch,brake, cooling and suspension systems. Two years into this project I have invested over 400 hours of my labor, and lots of new parts. I have started into addressing the cosmetics, now the mechanics have been refreshed. It is an awesome handling car, and I have begun to collect the parts convert it to a twin turbo to add significant horsepower. The car is now a keeper.
I have a ‘90 TT (it’s listed here somewhere) that I found w/ 30,000 original miles. It looks like you have a good start on your project from where it was when you got it. Z’s are awesome. This is my second one, I had ‘90 Slicktop NA back in the day, kept it for about 10 years before having to get practica for a while, glad to have another one.
