While leaving work one night I lost power and the car sputtered then slowly died. I tried restarting it and it didn’t crank over with the usual cyclical rhythm that indicated proper timing and compression. It was more of a labored “whirr”.
I sat in the car for a bit and contemplated just how hosed I was and decided to try it one more time. It fired up and I drove it home. I parked it in the garage where it has sat for a bit over two years now.
It will start and idle just fine but anything more than about 20% throttle results in popping through the intake and a loss of revs. Time to start throwing parts at it, I suppose.
