An economy truck with one big feature: Rambox I don’t have a place to work on vehicles for a couple years so I needed something reliable. The ecodiesel or V8 would be fun but they bumped the price too high so I bought the V6. Waited for the DTs to come out to get a good price on a 0 miler. To boot, the DTs as of 2021 still don’t offer Rambox in anything longer than 5ft 7. At the time going with the V6 felt like a serious sacrifice and almost failure to have to do it, but I don’t mind at all now. I appreciate the economy of it and while I rarely get 23 MPG I can average 22 in the summer. I would have liked a Tradesman with the 6‘4 bed, full crew cab and just steelies, but they have much better prices (rebates) on their consumer packages so I got stuck with a little quad cab and 20 in. chrome rims.
