The dash was showing signs of fading and fast. Even with the use of a dash/plastic protectant. But nothing worked. So we thought about using a dash cover instead. ordering a cover from Covercraft proved that this cheap junk would need to be redesigned. I took on the challenge myself but I would need another dash cover to use as extra parts for what I already had. One reason we couldn’t return the cover was because we ordered it with a custom text logo. But once the cover arrived, the text logo was not what I had expected. I had to remove/cut away all the blue embroidered logo then start in redesigning the cover for the van. The redesign took me about 3 weeks to cut and sew back into place. Then I was ready to have the custom logo placed back on the cover the right size and in the right place. One reason I’m not able to show many images of the dash cover is because when I complain to covercraft they swore that they would follow all of my post dealing with the cover in order to find out what I did to redesign it. For 2 weeks I searched for a suitable embroidery shop and located one in north western PA. We made an agreement to meet up on Fri as it would take us 6 hours to get there. Once there, the shop was closed. I was furious.. So we turned it into a long weekend away. a few weeks afterward. I located a shop closer to home who was willing to embroider the cover. We finally had a chance to pick up the cover and I had included two headrest with the same logo. The dash cover looks better than it was delivered to me several months back. Now all that’s needed is to place velcro strips on the dash that holds the cover in place. Also, while I had the headrest covers off the seats I made some alterations to the headrest padding as this was giving me a neck ache. I’ve attached an image of another companies dash cover just so you get the general idea of what it looks like.
