One of the best things we did and one anyone should do for their cars, is upgrade their brake pads to ceramic/carbon fiber pads as these will last 10x longer, release less brake dust and have a significant increase in braking power. We drove to Goldsboro, NC and to a friends Mustang shop where he agreed to installed the Powerstop pads for us. The first three pads went on without issues, while the last pad, seems there’s a protocol needed in order to install the pads as the last brake piston would not retract back into the caliper. Help arrived and explained what we needed to do to get the last brake pad installed and we didn’t have to replace the caliper as I’ve seen in a couple other cases where Ford F-150 owners attempted to do the job themselves only to have to replace the entire caliper. The van has never stopped faster and kept the wheels brake dust free.
