I’ve been meaning to complete what I started last sprint while painting the calipers with Por-15 blue caliper paint. I was hoping for a nice warm day to do this as it would take nearly all day to complete. Things needed: Several small foam paint brushed, Por-15 caliper paint, clean rags, drop cloth, masking tape, Kleen brake cleaner and about 8-10 hours of drying before one is able to drive away. While the van has bene support and secured off the ground, Remove one or all of the wheels, clean with the brake cleaner allow to dry then start in. One may need to mask tape several small areas of the brake pads and rotors. The entire painting process used a small foam paint brushes and dab the paint into seams and across the caliper. The attached image is the result of 3 coats of the Por-15 blue caliper paint during 80 degree sunny weather.
