1997 Dodge Neon ACR

Second owner and now a dedicated road circuit car; used the Base ACR car with the stock adjustable Koni’s and modified mostly for N Texas track heat. DOHC 2.0 L with self-ported/polished head with mild Crower camshafts/valve spring/retainer upgrade compatible with the Mopar Performance ECU option. Mishimoto 2 row radiator. Intake manifold flow doubled potential and added a 60 mm throttle body. TTi ceramic header and 2.5” exhaust. Front steering and brakes upgraded to a PT Cruiser hub, spindle, rotor, caliper, pad and cv axle setup for heat tolerance and durability. Home track eats up brakes. Has an Autopower cage Fun easy car to drive and enjoy. Pulls strong to 7800 rpm w a very flat torque curve; feels like an ND Miata. Weighs 2300 wet. Fun to run with early Spec Miata’s and cheap to operate ( compared to the other one)
