I have wanted to try RallyCross for a few years now, ever since I found out they run events down at Summit Point. I never made the trip because the prospect of breaking down three hours from home really didn’t appeal to me.
The Philly region SCCA organized an event much closer to home and I bit the bullet and signed up for a RallyCross in Dover, Delaware. Dragged a bunch of friends down to ride with me in the nasty heat of mid July and had a blast. I was running my snow tires and kicking up the dirt all over the place. I didn’t win anything but I had a great time and didn’t break the car.
I was the only American car in the running and quite a few people walked over and asked why I brought the camaro. Its just my every day, do anything car.
