Many thanks to all the racers, family and partner that rallied to support me for my first official outing at the CHGP/Festival at MOSPORT hosted by VARAC. It was not without challenges but everything came together for a great couple days of racing improving my lap times on each outing and an exceptional experience in the enduro where I improved my last sessions time by another 6 seconds as I was able to get more comfortable with the lines of the track and pay more attention to the car an finding it’s limits as well..
Brutus was christened in the 2nd last lap of the feature race when an aggressive MGB rear ended me. Fortunately we both finished the session and both cars only suffered superficial damage. The driver was very apologetic and we shook hands. That’s racin’ I guess. A little panel beating, body and paint and I’ll have it looking fine in no time, ready for the next outing…
