It is amazing what you can get in a cash strapped economy. This amazing technological marvel is a 1991 Ford Deathscort, which is like the Escort except it is the harbinger of doom. It is equipped with the 1.9L total oil loss version of Fords Split Port 4 cylinder engine as well as the amazing 4EAT automatic transmission. I say amazing because it is geared too high to take off from a stop and too low to go 70 on the highway. It gets 30mpg at all speeds from 45mph to 85mph. The air conditioning is well matched to the power windows and the seats are fundamentally correct as you can sit on them and almost feel like you are in contact with the car. UPDATE 08/05/08 This car has moved to Florida ;)

...it pulled off 35mpg average doing 75mph on the way down to FL btw :)... much better then the 18mpg the afro van got :)... and it will bury the needle well past the speedo if you have the lack of brains to do so lol...
3 years later it's still rolling... the rust hole in the drivers floor board has gotten larger as have the rust bubbles... the a/c needs recharged... but I drove it 600 miles round trip last week and it pulled 35mpg rolling 75mph
4 1/2 years later... it's gone to the junkyard :(
