I used to Ice race a couple of these cars, as well as DD several of them, which later turned out to be handy parts cars, In Syracuse, NY. Validated my love of lightness! A used formula Ford engine, even a worn out one, will wake this car up like you would not believe. I couldn't afford one of those so used an early pinto head, FRPP cam .200 decked block with hand trimmed stock used pistons, lightened rods, header bla bla bla. The VW rabbits were still tough to get by, they were almost as light and had more power..

i owned there different Fiestas. A 1978, 79, & 80. The first two were DD but the last, the 1980 was turned into a ITC race car. I did quite well with it. I sold it in 1995. Just the past Laboy Day I met a guy at a car event and after talking about cars we determined that he now owns my old race Fiesta! Small World!
