How the "undoable" Dream died

update image

Well, My girlfriend killed the thought of putting a 2.4L in the Eclipse. She went to run some arends, and left the radiotor cap off, ran it hot, and cracked the 1.8L block. Damn, I just did a head gasket two days before. The reason why the 2.4L thought is dead(atleast for now) is I need this car up and running untill I get my Talon road worthy. The 2.4 swap is alot of work, close to the same as a Ford motor in a Chevy(perish the thought, I’m a Chevy at heart, I also own a 69 El Cameno). The good news (or bad depending on how you look at it) is that I had already salvaged a non-running 7-bolt 4g63 non-turbo to rebuild for the Talon, but hadn’t really started the rebuild proccess, untill this happened. Unfortunently, now I have to died DSM’s in the drive way, the Talon any my beloved El Cameno projects are now delayed even further. The 4g63 is at the machine shop, it had spun a bearing and needs to be bored 20 over. Still lots of other things to find and do on a shortened time table. The fun thing about this is my girl feels so bad about this she has ageed to let me rebuild the 4g63 in the house( guys eat your hearts out)! And an added bonus, the Eclipse was in need of a paint freshening so I’m handeling that now, just some fresh white and I’m gonna add a set of black racing stripes, plus a spoiler off a Pontiac Grand Am.
