Well I found out part of what the engine knock is. The number one piston is cracked along the rings and the valves and chamber are chewed up. Once I get the block on a stand and remove the pan I should be able to figure out what happened. All the cylinders are is good shape, the honing marks are still there. Got a line on another twin cam engine for $300. Checking it out tomorrow.
