I changed the oil on the 944 as well, and I have to say that a K&N oil filter is mandatory for power steering equipped 944’s. The reservoir and lines restrict access to the filter, so you can’t get a traditional oil filter socket or wrench down there. The 1” nut welded to the K&N is a godsend!
