1985 Ford Ranger…older than me but way cooler than I’ll ever be. I built this car with two buddies and my Dad to compete in the 2009 LeMons South Fall race at Carolina Motorsports Park. Here was the premise: The LeMons Ranger is to be a pick-up truck styled after the Pikes Peak hill climb big rigs. LeMons Pikes Peak Replica Essentials: 1) No truck bed 2) Big ass wing fashioned out of plywood 3)) Rollcage extending from cabin to wing 4) Flat black paint 5) Rusty hood. Our Pikes Peak replica finished 85th out of 120 cars at CMP. We roasted the clutch after 8 hours and an all-night engine rebuild. Lots of memories with this truck… The Ranger’s Demise: www.youtube.com/watch?v=1aHXUG8_rsk
