So the one issue with the VFN ‘66 Dart hood is that it lacks built-in bracing between the radiator support and grill. This is probably fine for mose street/drag cars that stay under 115 MPH or so, but this car sits on the rev limit in 4th gear for 3-5 seconds each lap at Summit Point, which is just under 146 MPH. Somewhere around 130 the front 7”-8” of the hood would start to flap up & down really rapidly, I tried a tie down with zip-ties in the center of the hood, but they finally failed during a session allowing the LF hood pin to tear through the hood and that part of the hood to fold back flat on the fest of itself. The solution was to add some reinforcement to the front edge of the hood and move the center two hood pins forward about 5.5”.
