Last solo of the year on Sunday. Over the winter I hope I can do a few things to the car. Hard to work on it when it's your daily driver. Scored some used R888 for next year. Next up a rear sway bar.
Things didn't go quite as well for the last solo. Ended up 6th out of 29 entries. Not bad but had a spin and almost hit the wall. We were running on the oval and I went in to hot and lost the back, got about 1-2 feet from the wall. After that I was a lot more conservative and my times showed that. Next year I'll run the r-compounds and hopefully a rear sway bar.
3 broken breaker bars and using the torch and the axle nut is off. That was fun. I put it back together and the transmission gasket is leaking so I've pulled it apart again and waiting on a replacement. I did run the first solo of the year. 34 cars and I was first in HS and 2nd overall. Not a bad day for a rollie pollie Honda Civic.
