Had a friend, someone who knows what they are doing, help me. Got the head off and yes the gasket was toast. Took the head to the local machine shop and it is good and now looks brand new. Re-install will begin sometime soon, thankfully have my mother-in-laws hand me down Camry to get through the rest of the winter. Heated seats are nice in our cold Canadian winters. Can’t wait to throw the Civic around some cones in the Spring.
