This is one of those cars I'd vote for twice if I could. I've always been a sucker for GT6s.
Still a work in progress…this car was bought new by my father in 1970 and after years of hard driving, outdoor storage while we lived overseas, and more hard driving, it passed on to me about 15 years ago. Drove it for 2 years in college until it was rear-ended hard and taken off the road again, with the rear end fixed. Finally driveable again as of this month. Legal and registered! But it has a long way to go!
Here’s an updated pic with the new wheels on it…14x6 Superlites with a staggered offset …

Very nice! I had a similar car, only mine was brown and in nowhere near as good condition as this one. Many's the time I regretted selling it.
The car looks beautiful. I am very interested in buying a Mrk II or III. I have just started doing research on them. I was wondering if you know of any good forums for the GT6 or possibly anyone selling. You can email me at kbbrocke@gmail.com. Thanks, Kyle
is that a professional flat back job or are you just that good with a rattle can?
lol...that's rattle can. It looks good in photos, but is pretty amateur in person...
I love these things and rattle can black looks good on it from way back here.
I had one, towed it home, with "extra" trans parts in a box, and most of the interior shot. Rebuilt it--except the trans, sent that out--got my first 4 wheel drift in it. Yahoo. Parents made me sell it for something more sensible to commute to college with. Nice to see you have kept it in the family.
