nice! ...yeah I couldn't pass it up at the price. Old prepped rabbits are getting stupid cheap. I don't plan to campaign my '80, just use it as a weekend trackday / auto-x car for the next few years

We are doing the same thing.. Autocross, Trackday, Rally X. Would need new cage among other upgrades to run road racing again. But yes these cars are really cheap to buy right now. Are you in Michigan ?
Nice find. I just got an ex-ITC Rabbit (1983) that now has a 1.8L in it. Will do COMSCC then maybe back into IT in 2 years. Possibly an autocross or two. Just ordered tons of parts from germanautoparts.com. Price to purchase with Carrera coil overs and cage (older autopower), race seat and quick remove wheel....$500! Gotta keep these old Rabbits going. Vintage race anyone?
What were the road springs rated at? Mine have been painted and have no clue.
