Alas, poor Tdi! I knew him, Horatio: a car of infinite torque, of most excellent MPGs: he hath borne me on his back thousands of miles; and now, how abhorred in my imagination it is! My gorge rims at it. Here hung those seats that I have ridden in I know not how oft. Where be your road trips now? Your direct injection? Your turbo? Your flashes of acceleration, that were wont to set the interstate on a roar?
Tdi was totaled in an accident, sideswiped by a lady going too fast and not paying attention.
12/3/14 one of Copart’s tow trucks came to retrieve him. Sad day.
Tdi provided 5+ years and 101K+ miles of dependable, safe, fuel efficient, fun to our lives. He will not be forgotten.
