…I forgot to mention that I also picked up a short shift kit from Bimmerworld, complete with urethane bushings.
That should cure the “spoon in a spaghetti bowl” feeling.
We ended up with the Z3 1.9L shifter. Shorter throw but I won’t have to reach too much further to make the shift.
