I’ve been driving the P71 for the last few months, and I’ve gotten a new appreciation for just what these cars can do.
The ex-cop car routinely pulls down 20-21 mpg, and doesn’t get much worse mileage when you’re really beating on it.
I think my plans for the car now entail some Bilstein shocks, new springs, and sways. 17x9 wheels (black 03 Cobra replicas or Cragar Soft 8’s) all the way around with performance rubber, and maybe some sort of catback exhaust for the thing to make it a little less “official” in the eyes of the locals. I’ll also probably toss in a Bluetooth equipped head unit, because the stock radio is really nothing to write home about.
All in all, a pretty fun car that I’m still happy with.
