Isn't it odd that there aren't more cars in this class here? I lived in Germany for four years and this is what one of every five cars on the road looked like.
2008 Kia Ronda LX V6. If the Miata is the definition of “Sports Car” then the Kia Rondo is the definition of “Affordable Practicality”. Perhaps not as exciting, but it is the best family car I have had in a while. And the specs aren’t too shabby either: small-displacement DOHC V6, 17” tires with pressure monitoring, 4-wheel disk brakes with anti-lock, Electronic Stability Control (includes traction control), 6 airbags, manu-matic 5-speed transmission, front and rear sway bars…all good stuff. If I had to describe the ride, I would say it handles like an Optima with its center of gravity raised 3 feet. :) It cruises at highway speed in total comfort however, and I have room for the kid, the dog, luggage, a small trailer, etc etc etc. Lots of room inside and still easy to park. I like the quirky look of it and you get a lot for your money.
