Friday night there was a guy shouting outside my fence as my wife and I were trying to decide what to do for dinner. I finally noticed that what was being shouted was in fact “HEY FIAT GUY!!!” and went out to see what was up. He introduced himself as from thetruthaboutcars.com and explained he desperately wanted to cover my sedan in his “curbside classics” section. I told him that it was filthy and more beat up than it looked and he smiled and said that is just the way I like them.

He got a few facts wrong like it is a 71 and that is by no means an abarth exhaust but he was genuinely excited about the car. Having grown up in Europe he recognized it immediately and had to bookend the huge Chrysler Newport he had just covered with the fiat to show the different ideologies behind the current auto teamup.
