So named because everyone called me a Lunatic for doing what I did. I started with a fairly rust free Mini Cooper, striped it to a bare body and built a new car using only the best in in parts. Full KAD Suspension. 1275 A+ block bored to 1380. Four bolt mains, Forged Crank, rods, and 10.8 pistons. Piper 286 cam. From England I got a cross flow aluminum head with 4 port elec. fuel injection. Also from England I got a 5 speed straight cut gear box, 3.70 with Qualfe Limited Slip Diff. This car will do 0 to60 in 6 seconds, and pull 1.68 “G”s of cornering force. At Mini Meet West, the west coast Mini Cooper Convention in Lake Tahoe I timed in the fastest lap of the event for a A+ street legal Mini. And it gets 27 mpg!
