An Optima Battery will not fit securely in a 1970 F100 battery box made to hold a 900 cranking amp monster. Also it was rattling like crazy with the cam lope.
I put 3/8 fuel hose over the bracket bolts sandwiched with washers then lock nuts. Works like a charm! No more loose battery and no more rattle!
That battery is a used battery from advance auto I picked up for 36 dollars. Had it over a year. Gotta love used batteries! They come with a 3month warranty, I’ve never had to return one.
