May 16, 2013 update on redhookfern's 1983 Porsche 944

The pits.

update image

The original cookie cutter wheels that came on the 944 are pretty beat. The clear coat up and left years ago, leaving a pitted mess. I tried to clean them up, but short of refinishing them, I don’t think it will get much better. Any suggestions on a new set up? I’m thinking a set of black Fuchs would look good on the car. I want to keep it period-specific so I’m avoiding the usual later-model wheel route. Also, I have a rather strong dislike of the Phone Dial style, so also out of the consideration pile. Any period-specific aftermarket wheels you can suggest that won’t break the bank? The car sees mostly street use.
