Continuous refinements to the M3 427 have almost gotten this car to the reliable stage…brakes, tires, time out maintenance parts and basic tweaks to go faster!!! Knock wood!!! Such a joy to drive…it truly is an M3 on quadruple steroids, 2800 pounds, naturally aspirated 550 RWHP, 505 RW torque and completely planted thanks to Bimmerworld’s help setting up the aero. Alumilite for front splitters ($99 for a 4’x8’ sheet…delivered!!!) is the only way to go. First splitter lasted 18 months, crunched it, came home, straightened out old one for a template, cut new one with saber saw and hole dtill…done and back on track!!!! A guy in Australia was building a full road race version like this a few years ago…hope he gets it sorted and will have as much fun as I have. Lotsa turbo, supercharged and V8 M3 E36 conversions out there…but don’t see many (if any!!!) like this one at the track. See ya at the track!!!
Really enjoying this car…Always looking for something faster on track FOR THE SAME MONEY…haven’t found it yet…still looking!!!!!
