Video: How to attach a quarter panel using panel bonding adhesive

Why glue on a new panel instead of breaking out the welder?

In the case of our 1960 Austin-Healey Bugeye Sprite project, it was a matter of speed and convenience. See how we did it.

I've been thinking for a long time that using epoxys to bond panels makes sense, and was glad to watch this and see how it's done by experts. I've made small repairs to the sheet metal of my TR-6, such as rocker panel end caps or installing repair panels to small rust-through areas in the wheel wells or kick panel, where I've been afraid to try to plug or seam weld. I've used regular 2-part epoxy, and it's worked well so far.  Nice to see that it can be used on a large panel as well.

e kind of wheel on the grinder did you use to remove the primer from the panel? It was orange or red.
