Back in 2007, Carlos Mendez and James Hageman made their first Challenge appearance with an E30-chassis BMW fed by a Volvo turbocharger. They invested less than $1500 in the car, completed the tuning that morning, and finished 11th overall.

By 2010, that same BMW chassis sported box flares, custom multi-piece wheels, and a paint job entrenched in touring car lore. That project also spurred Carlos and Christina Mendez to launch Condor Speed Shop, an innovative niche player in the BMW race parts world.
