The adult version of unwrapping holiday gifts as a kid? Taking delivery of a brand-new BMW M4 GT3 must come close.
Meet “Optima Prime,” one of two of BimmerWorld Racing’s new M4 GT3 race cars slated to compete in the upcoming 2022 season of the Fanatec GT World Challenge America series.
The delivery also marks an important milestone, as team principal and BimmerWorld founder James Clay explains that this year marks the 25th anniversary of the business.

Clay will pilot this first car, the No. 36 Optima Batteries M4 GT3, alongside Ari Balogh, who previously raced under the BimmerWorld banner back in 2017.
The second car, the No. 94 TACenergy/OZIUM M4 GT3, will be run by Bill Auberlen and Chandler Hull, two drivers already familiar with BMW race machines.
In addition to the two cars entered in the Fanatec GT World Challenge America series, BimmerWorld will also field an M4 GT4 in the 2022 Pirelli GT4 America season–the No. 82 Red Line Oil/Veristor BMW. Devin Jones and James Walker, Jr. will drive that one.
The 2022 SRO Motorsports season kicks off April 15-17 at Sonoma Raceway, in Sonoma, California.

Good eye! Speaking of BimmerWorld's ChampCar effort, some good talk on safety here.
