I will say this much, Sandro can definitely get that car to move, he was wicked fast at Road Atlanta a few weeks back. I may/ may not be enough to take the win, but it sounds so amazing.
Does a supercar make a good race car? Sandro Espinosa seems to think so, as he's bringing a 2012 Ferrari 458 FC to our Tire Rack Ultimate Track Car Challenge. Years of Italian racing heritage may help make it a solid competitor, but that alone isn't enough to win.
The Tire Rack Ultimate Track Car Challenge is our annual no-holds-barred track competition. The rules are simple: Car and driver must pass a NASA safety inspection. Period.
Who else will be vying for the win in this week's #FastFriday selection? See for yourself:
Todd Brown has a 2002 BMW M3 with a recently installed sequential gearbox, and it's ready to take on Virginia International Raceway. Will the new sequential box be able to outshift the competition?
No, Gary Burris Jr. isn't driving on the wrong side of the car. He's just entering a 1989 Nissan Skyline GT-R. Is the iconic combo of twin-turbocharged RB26 and ATTESA all-wheel-drive system enough to pull ahead on track?
View these cars, along with the rest of the field, on the UTCC website. Think you have what it takes to win? Prove it.
The Tire Rack Ultimate Track Car Challenge is presented by Tire Rack in association with Wilwood Disc Brakes and XClutch, with trophies from BimmerWorld, Falken Tire, Hoosier Tire, SPA Technique and Aeromotive.
