Sure, the Tire Rack Ultimate Track Car Challenge Presented by Grassroots Motorsports attracts all sorts of wild builds, but that doesn’t mean more stock hardware can’t be competitive, too.

Meet Kyle Carrick’s 2021 BMW M3 Competition. Aside from an aftermarket intake and exhaust plus a set of grippy Hoosier tires, the car is entirely stock.

Granted, you’ll still be battling over 500 horsepower, but how often do you get the chance to see if your build is faster than one of BMW’s latest halo cars?

What is the Tire Rack Ultimate Track Car Challenge? It’s our annual no-holds-barred track competition. The only rule is that car and driver must pass a NASA safety inspection.

View this car, along with the rest of the field, on the UTCC website. If you think your car has what it takes to win, enter it here.

The 2022 UTCC returns to Virginia International Raceway May 13-14 in the center of NASA’s HyperFest weekend.

I find it hard to get up much interest for anything that looks that fugly.  Ironic to think that they criticized styling  back in the Bangle era and then come up with THAT!

No doubt it will be fast, but a car manufacturer's continued existence depends on selling cars, and to do that they need to look at least decent.
