Wanna ride shotgun with GRM?

Welcome to this week’s test vehicle, a 2024 BMW X6 M60i.

The M60i–which slots in between the base xDrive40i and the high-performance X6 M–is powered by a 4.4-liter, twin-turbo V8 rated at 523 horsepower and 553 lb.-ft. of torque, with an 8-speed auto handling the gear changes.

As for cargo capacity, yes, that sloping rear roof does reduce the usable space: The not-so-slopy X5 gets a maximum capacity of 72.3 cubic feet, with the X6 getting a maximum of just 59.6 cubic feet–but, then again, that's still probably plenty of space for a day at the golf course.

MSRP for the X6 M60i starts at $93,600, with our tester carrying a sticker price of $111,995.

It's not a boring color, I'll give it that.

And it glows in the sun.

I am curious what it would run at the FIRM

My biggest question would be: How do we kill it?

I'm obviously not the biggest fan of BMWs latest design language.

I’m going to call this more M2 than M3/M4.

At just 100K with basic option who the heck is buying these thing. I see them in my neighborhood along with the bigger brother version but why. What does this do that makes it better for a normal owner then all of the other options in the world.

I get the X5 with the big trunk, I even get the M8 for people who want to show off but this is just hidious and flawed in so many ways.

Agreed.  I don't see one reason why you would buy this over so many other vehicles.  And that humpy back look doesn't look good on anything.

I do love the color. An M3 Comp in the same color is near the top of my wish list right now, design language be damned. They all look better to me in person than in internet photos.

I'm not sure why I have such a visceral reaction to these, but I want to throw some golf clubs in the back and then rallycross it.

$112,000 ... I edited my initial comment so no one else would have to.

So a G-rated question:  if you had the money would you use your own to buy it?
